Lectures, retreats and courses
I want to help more people talk openly about faith, and I want to increase the opportunity to live freely and meaningfully with the Christian faith in everyday life in and outside the existing church communities.
That’s why I give lectures in all three Nordic countries in Danish and “Scandinavian”, organize courses and conversation salons, and host retreats in Denmark, Norway and Spain.
It is uncommonly wonderful, educational, laughter-filled and much more to be able to be with others about something as meaningful as faith. Wherever I go in the country or abroad, I encounter curiosity and respect and a great willingness to listen to each other.
The calendar is continuously updated, so please check back regularly to see where we can meet.
Each event has information on how to find out more. Otherwise, you are always welcome to write to me directly. Click on the mail icon below.
If you want to book me for a lecture, find out more at www.forfatterforedrag.dk and write to them at info@forfatterforedrag.dk
I usually divide my talks into two. First I give the talk, then there’s a break with coffee and maybe a piece of cake and time to think and talk to each other and maybe get a book signed. Then there’s a shared conversation based on questions, and I often read a little at the end.
The lectures can be based specifically on one or more of my books. I can also lead workshops, give presentations at conferences, participate in debates or at faith or literature festivals, for example. Please write with good ideas if you want to organize something with my possible participation.
Send me an email directly via the button below – also if you are interested in getting hold of me as a moderator, moderator, interviewer or anything else related to journalism.
Examples of lectures
What do you do when you’ve met Jesus?
During the talk, I will tell my own story of how I was neither a religious nor spiritual seeker when Jesus appeared to me in the sacristy of La Sacra Capilla de El Salvador in the city of Úbeda, Spain. What happened when I got home? Was I able to do my job? Why did I lose almost 20 kilos? Was I now going to enter a monastery? Did the national church want me?
The talk will build on the bestseller sold in six countries “I met Jesus – Confessions of a reluctant believer” and the gentle sequel “God, you’re right here – How I live with my faith”.
Many of us have met an angel, God, Jesus…
Every second of us has some kind of experience during our lives that we call religious, spiritual or spiritual. If we haven’t had experiences ourselves, we know others who have. I share my own and some of the thousands of stories I’ve received and, using the knowledge of researchers, will open up a debate about why some people want us to keep quiet while others believe that talking about them can benefit society – and ourselves.
The lecture will mostly be based on the book “We met Jesus – And what does it matter to others”.
Is Jesus a feminist?
I am a woman with experiences like most of us of rape and subsequent abortion at 16, guilt and shame, marriage and career, and the deep sadness when my boy took his own life. Where do I find strength as a feminist in this century? To my surprise and many others, in the Bible. I thought I knew what it said, but when I read it with my own eyes as a woman, I was shocked. Several men have had the same when they’ve heard my talk. Join us – if you dare – and learn a lot more about gender in a new and refreshing way that connects Christianity very closely to the present.
The lecture will be based on the books “With a straight back” and “Jesus Calendar – December conversations for life-giving wonder”.
